Come Join Us! For our May Professional Development Meeting we are pleased to have Marc D. Torrence, Vice President of Import Operations for V. Alexander & Co., Inc. Marc has over 21 years of experience in the International Logistics and Customs Brokerage Industry. He will speak with us about the basics of Importing goods from outside the US, and touch on some of the pitfalls of not following import regulations. He will also discuss how customs brokers can help you avoid costly problems and delays in receipt.

 

 

Marc D. Torrence is Vice President Import Operations for V. Alexander & Co., Inc., and has over 21 years experience in the International Logistics and Customs Brokerage Industry. He obtained his Customshouse Broker’s License in 1989 and his Customs Certified Specialist designation in 2006. He has worked in the customs and logistics fields in Frankfurt Germany, and in numerous locations throughout the US. He has a BS in International Business and a BA in French.

CSCP Exam and Registration

To become a certified CSCP, three dates must be kept in mind associated with each scheduled testing period. The Exam Date itself, the Exam Registration Deadline Date and the Eligibility Application Deadline Date. The CSCP candidates will have several opportunities to take the exam in a computerized test mode through Pearson VUE and three opportunities this year to sit for the paper end pencil version of the exam.
